 The East Village Poetry Web is captive to a neat
sort of somnambulism, continuing, for example, to define "East"  and
"Village" as obscurely as possible. "East" is China, Japan, etc. -- 
one kind of east, from the perspective of, say, the East Coast
of the U.S. --  another east! While "village" grants us the
license to get familiar with pleasurable verse and art from
